Nice one

Cool apps, keep it updated please.

Cool

Just bought this app havent had a chance to play with it much, but what I have noticed is it seems pretty cool. It does what they say it does.. I think there are endless possablitys with this app but the one thing that it needs like a lot of these type of apps is a way to send the finished product, not the multipliable photos but the moving ones. Please if possible add this feature.. It would be worth the money and I would give it five stars.

Whoa

I wasnt quite sure what to expect when I downloaded this product, but all I can say is Whoa! It is so cool just to spin something around with your fingers. The example Spinoramas they include are great and I have made a few of my own. I very badly want to send these to a friend. Right now there is no way to send a moving spinorama.

By far the worst app Ive ever purchases

The idea sounds great but putting into practice just does not work. Ive purchased a great number of apps dealing with both video and still pictures some of which live up to their ratings, some which go beyond their rating and some which dont reach their rating but they all work at some level. This app does not at all. It is to bad that apple doesnt have a return policy as I finally found an application worthy of this policy. SAVE YOUR MONEY. I would rate this app a MINUS 2 if it were possible.

A Novel One of a Kind Camera

It took me a few tries but once I mastered the method of collecting photos I was blown away. I made a "spinorama" of Keisha (my German Shepherd) while she was sleeping and the results are incredible. Basically you just have to walk around your subject while snapping photos at regular intervals and Spinorama then allows you to play them back by swiping your screen backward and forward. It is the next best thing to having the object right in front of you. For my second masterpiece I had my wife rotate around on a stool while I took 16 separate shots and now I have the ultimate wallet photo to show off. Positioning hints for each shot are easily accessible by tapping the little "map" in the viewfinder. The built-in spinoramas are very creative and have ambient audio that is cleverly controlled by the motion of the object. There is a 3-D panorama of a street scene in India that is just like being there (which, in fact, I have). You can hear all the different kinds of car, rickshaw, bus and taxi horns, an occasional dog, a crow, street voices--the works. All the while you can turn the view to look left, right or spin completely around. On a larger screen it would be even more immersive which makes me hope the developers will consider making an iPad version.

You Spin Me Right Round

...like a record baby, right round, right round. Whether youre a T-Rex fan or not, this nifty app will definitely get your head spinning! I first saw a developmental version of this at last years WPPI convention in Vegas and have been waiting patiently ever since for it to become available in the app store. I have not been disappointed, and am anxious to spend some more time with Spinorama to explore all the bells and whistles. Primarily the software creates a new type of viewable image that allows you to "look around" your subject after you have collected the requisite images. The resulting effect is a hybrid of traditional 3D, holograms, and virtual reality. As a wedding photographer I am keenly interested in being able to somehow add these to the portfolio of options I can offer clients (maybe little spinorama apps they can run on their own iPhones?). In any case I have been informed the developer is working on some means for sharing user-generated spinoramas (in addition to the so-called "scatter-shot" they offer) and cant wait to see what they come up with. I have found the best results are made by importing images from that I have taken with my digital SLR because the iPhones built-in camera cant really come close to the quality of even my low-end Canon. But for quick work, I think the iPhone camera does quite admirably. I am planning to make a spinorama of an engaged couple this weekend at my studio and Im excited to see their reaction when they see the results on the iPhone!

I hate built-in spin-o-ramas!!!!!!!

I would put 5 stars if I could delete the built-in spinoramas!!! Because it makes My phone slow, and I want them gone so I could make my own gallery of spinoramas. Can you please update. Because I pade money for this app ($3.99) I want my moneys worth it!

blown away

After hundreds of apps I thought Id seen it all, but this app is one of those rarities that takes the iphones capabilities to another level. Super entertaining, and hands down the most creative thing Ive seen anybody do for the iphone. Whats most exciting for me about it is it opens up a whole new world of what I can do creatively with my iphone, making my own animations and panoramas from my own photos. My friends and I have done some hilarious stuff making animations of people doing physically impossible things, it basically lets you make your own stop-motion movies. And even did a few things that were extremely useful. I actually started using spinorama on the iphone of a friend who turned me on to the app before I bought it, he was using it to panorama a house hes selling. So that gave me the idea to use it to panorama my old mustang and was able to show two potential buyers all the detailing and custom accessories and they were more impressed with the panorama than my car and asking me how I could do that with an iphone! Also did a pan of a custom engine Im working on, just amazing the quality of the panorama... its like a work of art! I could spin that thing around and look at it for hours. When accessory dealers, realtors, or really people selling just about anything get their hands on this it will definitely change how they advertise everything, to be able to show anything in 3D panorama on your iphone. Everybody Ive shown what this app can do has been totally blown away and gets excited coming up with their own ideas of things they want to do with it. Maybe what impressed me most is how easy it is to use the app to do everything it says it does, it pretty much lets you just focus on being creative and doing what you want to do with it instead of trying to figure it out, very easy to get started since all it is is taking a specific number of pictures. Not sure why this isnt a top seller or staff pick, but definitely a sleeper hit in my neck of the woods.

Well..

I think you should be able to delete the examples because they are annoying! Also make it so you can turn your creations into a video where you can pick the rotation speed. And how many times it rotates for the video then we could save them to camera roll and email them and people can just click play and it will rotate a few times. Another thing change the gold yellow crap and the brown textured rim to slick black and greys with no texture! It makes the app childish and I hate yellow. It also just makes the app look bad check out itimelapse they know how to make an app visually apealing. Change all that and Ill give you five stars!

Fun but could be improved.

Fun to goof around with, but where is export as animated gif, mov... Also agree that I should be able to delete the sample galleries.

Take it for a spin

This is easily the most multi-functional camera I have come across on the iPhone. While it can do panoramas, time-lapse, and stop-motion type animation, my favorite of all (and where it really excels) are the 360 degree fly-arounds. Its kind of like whats in the movie Avatar when you can control the spinorama after you have made it, because you can basically look all the way around whatever it is you shot the photos of. Very futuristic feeling. The interface is very easy and flexible once you get the hang of it and the results are out of this world. Of the built-in spinoramas, my favorites are Bachward & Forward and the Blues Scale which lets you play the blues on the piano along with a backing track. Very creative.

Has not worked once for me

Long load time. If I take one picture it freezes in the camera shutter state and does not come out. I also rebooted my phone like most would say to do, and still doing the same thing. If this program would work for me I would have probably gave it 5stars; but until all bugs are fixed and yes I agree with all here , let us delete the demos u all provided. Kinda wished I didnt purchase. Apple needs to come up with a refund policy. I would really like my money back or make a fix to the app for it to work.

Works with iPhone 4

Fun photo app. Would be nice if it was able to export to an animated gif or movie file.

To many problems!

This is going down as the worst app Ive ever had! Slow or freezes all the time! run away not worth 3$ or free $!

Does not work very well on iPhone 4

Cant delete samples. Locks up after every picture with flash. Cant export files. Long load time. Have yet to actually get it to work... Is there going to be an update to make this app work?

Works fine for me

Not a bad app at all. Made some fun stuff which is what its for

Not bad

It pretty much does what it says. $4 is a tad steep, however. It did completely crash my 3GS on iOS4 once. Made it reboot on its own. Needs the simple ability to delete the samples. Also should be able export to an mov.

Deleted

You could do this yourself just by taking lots of pictures while circling an object then flipping through them. Does not merge them into anything different.

Pretty good

Its really slow on the new ipod touch, either that or its the ios4.1 version.

Almost there

This is basically a very good and potentially useful app, but I wholeheartedly agree with the 2 most common complaints- first, those example Spinoramas are nice, but once Ive seen them, I want them GONE, to be replaced by my own! Second, export ability is a MUST. Others have suggested exporting as .gif or .mov files- I would even be happy with the ability to export as a proprietary format that could be saved or shared through iTunes sync. Some form of exporting/sharing is an absolute necessity if this app is to become anything more than an amusing toy for solo use... it has far greater potential than that. Currently it is NOT worth $4. Fix those two things, and it would easily be worth even more.
